Dear children have many names, and this particular house has gone from being called ‘the gingerbread house’ to ‘the mansion on the hill’. According to some, it is ‘Danderyd’s postcard house’.

A very extensive renovation has been carried out and involves everything from garden and drainage to new facade, insulation of floors, ceilings and walls, finishes, fireplace, cuttings, new floors, sheet metal work, electricity, pipes, ventilation, fences and much much more. The project also involved a lot of sketching and the preparation of architectural and construction drawings and building permits.

The small villa was very neglected, but had a healthy frame. This has been extended in three directions. First of all, the whole house has been extended and a glass veranda has been built. The only bathroom that existed was of a very old standard and this has now been replaced with three bathrooms, one of which is of a spa nature with sauna, shower, bath and separate toilet. The house had been modernized in the 70’s and had been given a misspectacular front porch and garage according to the current 70’s style. The small garage was demolished, as well as the front eaves. The garage was instead placed under the terrace adjacent to the east/west side of the building and now accommodates two cars.

The basement of the house stands on a high plinth, which means that there are quite high ceilings in the basement, which was completely renovated. This particular property has a very generous building area that is not yet filled.
